Allow me to introduce myself. I am Steven Wolvek. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley where I attended Canoga Park High School and later Los Angeles Valley College and California State University Northridge. I was involved in competitive swimming since seven years old on my way to becoming a High School and College All-American Athlete.
I coached competitive swimming and water polo for 8 years until I started attending Law School at University of La Verne. I graduated with my Juris Doctorate in 1988 and formed the Law Offices of Steven A. Wolvek in 1990. I am married, have children (none of whom want to be lawyers), and presently involved with a savings and wealth building program and Pit Bull and other animal rescues.
My law practice originally focused on the areas of consumer Bankruptcy and Personal Injury cases. Later I started handing Family Law matters and doing private Family Law mediation as well as Civil and Business Litigation. I did not like the large firm mentality of focusing on billing the client for every minute spent on their case. Instead, I wanted to focus on getting results while saving people money by not charging for time spent communicating back and forth by telephone or email about the case, its status or things needed to be done.
Thank you for allowing me to talk to you about your legal matter.
I understand people are nervous and anxious when coming to that point in life where they need to hire a lawyer. To ease those emotions, I personally meet every client and explain in detail what the legal issues are in their case and the process involved to achieve their desired result. I know there are many lawyers throughout California so I take pride in knowing the bulk of my client base comes from referrals from past clients and other legal professionals.
